"Celtics assistant coach calls out foul disparity in Knicks game: 'It wasn't the same as Sixers game'"

The Boston Celtics' 100-91 loss to the New York Knicks on Sunday, Celtics assistant coach Joe Mazzulla expressed his frustration with the foul disparity between the two teams. The Celtics had 16 fouls called against them in the first half alone, while the Knicks had just two.

Mazzulla questioned the officiating, saying it "wasn't the same as the Sixers game," referring to a game earlier in the week where the Celtics shot just four free throws to the Sixers' 24.

The Celtics have now lost three straight games, and Mazzulla's comments have reignited the ongoing debate about officiating and the role it plays in the outcome of NBA games.

While some fans and analysts argue that the Celtics simply need to play better and not rely on calls, others believe that the discrepancy in fouls called can have a significant impact on the outcome of a game.

As the playoff race heats up, it remains to be seen how officiating will continue to shape the NBA landscape.
